If you have any following whatsoever on social media, you've experienced it as a business owner or just as an average, everyday person: certain posts, photos, links, messages just don't get seen. It's especially maddening when you've created something particularly genius or beautiful or meaningful or important, but you post it and . . . nothing. Not even crickets.
So why do some posts get seven hundred or seven thousand views in the first hour after you post while others get seven views in a week (along with a notification saying, "Hey, you could promote this to a larger audience for a small fee)? Part of it is the algorithm of the social media platforms. They're in this to make money, naturally, and nothing brings in money quite like holding an influencer's audience hostage.
But the other side of the coin is the human algorithm. There is an art to understanding how people use social media (and how they wish you would) and implementing that knowledge in a way that makes your audience eager to see and react to what you post, even to the point where they'll go to great lengths to make sure they see your content. While we don't recommend growing too dependent on social media for marketing purposes (it's kind of like talking all about business at a party), it does play a valuable role in connecting with your audience (and building your email list).
With a short mentoring session with Beth (and a follow up to make sure the new techniques and approach are working well), you can learn the art of genuine, engaging social media activity, something she has mastered since the dawn of social.
